ADRC OF CENTRAL WISCONSIN PRESENTS FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM TO LINCOLN COUNTY BOARD

During their meeting last week, the Lincoln County Board heard the annual presentation by ADRC Executive Director Michael Rhea, who focused on their food services.

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin is a partnership of Lincoln, Langlade, Marathon and Wood Counties. The region is known for its increasingly aging population, so making nutritious meal options available is a top priority. Hundreds of meals are served in Lincoln County each week, with more that 170,000 served across the four-county region annually through meals-on-wheels and in person dining. Rhea spoke of the challenges the organization faces as food costs increase, making it more difficult to maintain a flat budget. He mentioned the potential of experimenting with congregate dining in Merrill including some new locations.
